Jon Stevens

Tracing his proud Castilian Sephardi roots to Toledo, Spain, Jon Stevens Alon grew up in Brooklyn, New York, among Sicilians, passing easily as an Italian in an effort to belong. Mistreated by a step-mother, he ran away from home at the age of 16. Leaving the Brooklyn street gang life behind, working days, studying nights, and dancing Salsa on weekends, he graduated the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC, and overcoming handicaps shared by many immigrants to America, Jon developed the linguistic, creative and business skills, helping him become an award winning Writer’s Guild of America screenwriter, Director’s Guild of America Production Manager and Director (IRISH WHISKEY,) member on its DGA Magazine Publication Committee, film/TV producer (CHOICES,) published journalist & author (ACTORS TURNED DIRECTORS: ON ELICITING THE BEST PERFORMANCE FROM AN ACTOR) published by SILMAN-JAMES PRESS featuring interviews with Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster, Sydney Pollack, Richard Benjamin, Kevin Bacon, Leonard Nimoy, Ronald Maxwell, etc., released June 2013 as an Amazon Kindle eBook,) literary agent, story consultant, ABC Television, and 20th Century Fox production executive, and currently CEO/Founder of TSO, global multi-media, multi-cultural content company with 70 projects in development, 12 advanced including 4 completed pilot scripts, and a completed feature film to be adpated as a sitcom.

Jon's motto in life: regardless how humble your beginnings, regardless failure, setbacks, obstacles, hardships, disappointments, enemies, never, ever, give up on accomplishing your dreams. Character is tested not after you celebrate a victory, but by what you do when your back is against the wall. At a low point in his life, Jon started attending the AGAPE Center of Truth, and credits Reverend Dr. Michael Beckwith, and later, Joel Osteen, and TD Jakes, with his spiritual rebirth which provided him the inner-strength to endure and rise triumphant over the trials and tribulations of life. Married to Lira, a Brazilian from the state of Bahia who brought love, light, and inspiration into his life, and therefore, his mission in life is to make her happy. They have 4 children from previous marriages.
