I write from my home - mostly my kitchen - in St. Paul, Minnesota, U.S., where I live with my husband and "I-can-eat-a-grocery-store-in-a-single-bite" son. Really. I defy any of you to feed him for a week and decide you want to keep him. We've had pets but no longer do, unless dust bunnies count...

When not thinking about mermaids at my desk, you'll find me in the garden, or volunteering for one of our kid's twelve dozen sporting programs; or reading, since I always have two or three books going, and please keep those informative and thought-provoking non-fiction works away from me.
