Tom McCoy

Based in New York, Tom McCoy is a lifelong fisherman who loves to fly fish for trout but also enjoys all that the saltwater has to offer. He has fished mountain streams north, east, south and west. He authored his first book - How to Fly Fish for Trout: the First Book to Read - when a friend wanted to learn how to fly fish and was overwhelmed by the available instruction manuals. Too much information for a beginner was the problem. The book is written in a familiar style and truly can get a person started fly fishing for trout, (and catching), quicker than most. The next step was to convert 141 letters to a lifelong friend into a collection of stories – Letters to Mack, Correspondence on a Fishing Life. Tom is not a novelist or short story writer but a teller of stories. True stories.
