Gregory Alan Burhoe

Gregory Alan Burhoe lives in Nova Scotia, Canada with his cat. Besides fiction, he also enjoys hiking, visual arts and poetry.

He began writing fiction at the age of six, in the form of comic books. He spent much of his childhood drawing and day dreaming of fantastical worlds. Inspired by the works of Edgar Allen Poe in his early teenage years, he began writing poetry and short fiction, After years of exploring various creative fields, which includes visual and performance arts, he returned to what he truly loved: storytelling.

The characters and universe of Sector Storm have been with him for a long time, before finally coming together. It asks questions and explores the ideologies which attempt to unravel them, rather than presenting the reader with a moral and a story wrapped around it to justify that moral. The intellectually honest approach of exploring unanswered questions seems far more interesting and far more rewarding than following the familiar formula.

Why presume that the reader is not intelligent and is incapable of pondering such questions and arriving at his or her own conclusions? Isn't the question, the journey itself, richer and of greater importance than contrived or imposed assertions about reality? The truth fragments through ideology, stirred awake by the questions; the pursuit of the answers as of yet undiscovered. Life is still a mystery. Truth need not be stranger than fiction, so long as fiction obeys its mystique. For is the exploration of truth not the very purpose of artistic writing?

Gregory intends to continue writing many more stories. in the Sector Storm universe and in others yet to come.
