M.R. is an ex-crime reporter who swam away from the sinking boat of print journalism at the turn of the century. Before she became a daily newspaper reporter, she was head proofreader at the same newspaper. She now lives in a mountain village in B.C., Canada where crime is a vandalized tree on Main Street and a crime spree is two vandalized trees on Main Street. In between shoveling snow and slamming the front door to discourage deer from eating the shrubs, M.R. writes all sorts of fiction. Her oldest child was named after Agatha Christie.

Marilyn sticks to offbeat sweet romances, often writing about different cultures. Feel free to come into our parlor if you like, but remember--you're taking your chances on who's in here. Marilyn would never, ever scare you. But M.R. sure would.
