Jack's got a sense of humor. You may have gathered that by now.

But to the serious part: as an author of speculative fiction, Jack looks at the world and wonders, "What if...?" A part of that wondering is analyzing current trends. In case you're wondering, Jack's a long-time member of the SCA. That's where the second part of the name comes from. He's also a member of Mensa, but doesn't take either membership seriously.

Jack habitually devotes the first part of every day to corresponding with friends, people like you. Some will find him through the blogs, some via Facebook, some through Goodreads.

So where do all those stories come from? Life experiences, for the most part. Imagination, extrapolation, analysis, all those things.

Just how warped IS that imagination? Well...I'm afraid you'll just have to read the books and find out for yourself!
