Eusebio Ferrer Hortet

It all started with my creative and brilliant husband that came up investing his spare time in writing a novel based on my Doctoral Thesis Project. It happened when our children started to gain autonomy and flying out from home. My thesis about the marriage of Isabel the II was an extensive research and very well documented piece of work on the Marriage of Isabel II and the political implications of her matrimony. The fruit of the collaboration assured a good result because it was a perfect team. He was a bright writer journalist and myself an historian devoted to the sources. From this initial idea resulted our first novel "Se busca Rey consorte" that we now offer to you. We followed the momentum and published "Matrimonio de amor. Matrimonio de Estado", "Cuando Reinar es un deber", "Un reinado paradójico: Alfonso XIII" and many other books.

LOOKING FOR A QUUEN’S CONSORT (SE BUSCA REY CONSORTE)

Queen Isabel II. The History of Spain from 1830 to 1904

A ENJOYABLE FUSION: The journalistic magnetism with a historian documented support

The life of Isabel II, her kingdom, and after all the state politics that surrounded her marriage are marvelously approached in this history biography. Throughout the narration without even noticing, the reader receives the strict historic data along with a journalistic agility similar to a movie story line. The historic narrative is supported on the Maria Teresa Puga Doctoral Thesis entitled “El matrimonio de Isabel II en la política de su tiempo” that deserved the máximum qualification and was published by her University.

This novel combines the story telling with and abundant documented data. In this fashion, it achieves not only a pleasant reading novel but a very interesting historic and human study. The story is concluded by a psychology portrait of the character of Isabel II by Enrique Rojas, psiquiatry professor.

MATRIMONY OF LOVE. MATRIMONY OF STATE

MATRIMONY OF LOVE. MATRIMONY OF STATE. Life and reign of Alfonso XII.

The History of Spain from 1857 to 1885

This novel portraits the life of Alfonso XII and its vicissitudes. It is an historic novel wrote in first person, with a lively and direct style that conjugates the history data with the narrative amenity. It is based on the research of historical data obtained from Spanish and foreign archives performed by one of the authors, the Historian María Teresa Puga. The journalist Eusebio Ferrer support his writing on these data.

This book is a pleasant reading not only about the kingdom of Alfonso XII but about a history time with high interest that was eclipsed by the short period of his kingdom and Alfonso XII romantic life. A loved king in his time that gained several epithets as Rey Castizo, Romatic king, Peace iris among others.

It is a relate completed by a psychological study description of his personality and the characters that surrounded Alfonso XII by the Professor of Psiquiatry Enrique Rojas.

WHEN REIGINGN IS JUST A DUTY

WHEN REIGINGN IS JUST A DUTY. Regency of Maria Cristina de Austria de Habsburgo-Lorena. Minority of Alfonso XII. The History of Spain from 1885-1902.

Cuando reinar es un deber depicts the age minority of Alfonso XIII, king before being born and the regency of his mother María Cristina de Austria de Habsburgo–Lorena. It is therefore a double historic biography: the one of the regency queen and the biography of the infant king. The story also includes interesting characters of the Spanish and European Courts that somehow interconnect their lives.

This book is a continuation of Matrimonio de Amor, matrimonio de Estado, from the same authors.

The historic accuracy of this book, the objective approach of each situation are a consequence of a profound research comprising European real palaces, city newspapers, and libraries. All these data gathering not only enrich the work but also build a unique type of story with high historic and human interest.

A PARADOXICAL REIGN:

Alfonso XIII. The History of Spain from 1886-1941

«Un reinado paradójico» is a story that deals with the reign of Alfonso XIII that conditions the Spanish life for the whole XX century. This king was the real main character of a historical time that still arouses passions.

This book depicts the personal and political career of Alfonso XIII, his paradoxical reign. Moreover, his life offers a lesson for all his successors and for government leaders. He was a king whose "cradle was a throne" as Churchill would say, that very young seized power amid a period of crisis, that in his wedding day suffers a terrorist attack, who would lead the Government amid partisan struggles, violent anarchism, and general strikes. Alfonso XIII ended leaving Spain in order to prevent that bloodshed on his crown. In this work, the authors analyze with objectivity and rigor, the personality and behavior of the monarch, the very difficult balance between his heritage and his temperament and the sworn constitution. The authors also analyze the relationships and disparities with the great characters who presided each of its multiple governments.
