Rauf Ceylan

Rauf Ceylan is full Professor of Religious Studies (Sociology of Religion) at the University of Osnabrück/Institute of Islamic Theology (IIT) in Germany since 2009. He graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Dusseldorf with a Diploma. In 2006 he received his doctorate in Sociology (Dr. rer. soc.) from the Ruhr University in Bochum and in 2014 he received his doctorate in Religious Education (Dr. phil.) from the University of Vechta. His research focuses on the Sociology of Migration and Religion. He is member of the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) and the Council for Migration (RfM eV).
