Lan Bercu is the founder and president of Lead Across Cultures International, an Atlanta, Georgia, based company with a focus on cross-cultural competence and global leadership. As an international speaker and expert in her field, Lan has nearly two decades of experience working with international corporations in Asia and North America, among them Intel, Bayer, and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
Born and raised in Vietnam, as a young girl Lan was inspired by the Chinese classics The Thirty-Six Chinese Stratagems and Sun Tzu’s The Art of War. The principals, tactics, and strategies in the books helped her overcome the tremendous hardships she and her family faced during and after the Vietnam War. These messages carried her through, enabling her not only to survive but also to thrive in academia as well as on corporate battlefields and in entrepreneurial rivalries.
Lan received her MBA from Kennesaw State University. She is past president of the Toastmasters Club of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the National Speakers Association and the Global Speakers Federation. Lan has frequently been featured in Entrepreneur magazine and on Finance Business News Channel, Vietnam Investment Review, and other media channels.
