T D Arkenberg

T.D. Arkenberg is an award-winning author of three novels. His latest offering, None Shall Sleep (Outskirts Press 2016) is the most riveting yet. Set in London, Buenos Aires and Italy, the book tells the story of Isabella Fabrini, a woman tired of her life as a corporate drone. Dreaming big, Isa sets her sights on the opera stage. None Shall Sleep is a tale of love, loss, friendship and triumph. An early draft was a shortlist finalist in the prestigious Faulkner-Wisdom literary contest.

For his debut novel, Final Descent (2013), T.D. tapped into a two-decade career at a global airline. His second novel, Jell-O and Jackie O, (2014) captures the glamour and calamity of the nineteen-sixties including the emergence of Jackie Kennedy Onassis as an international icon. Independent Publishers awarded Jell-O and Jackie O an IPPY award for best regional fiction and the Next Generation Indie Book Awards honored the book with two medals. The book was also a semi-finalist in the 2014 Faulkner-Wisdom literary contest.

A fourth book, Two Towers, is a memoir that focuses on T.D.'s experience working for in the airline industry during the September 11th attacks and the simultaneous deaths of his parents. Two Towers is slated for an early 2017 release.

T.D. has an MBA from The University of Chicago and a BA in Literature from Northwestern University. He has been active in several writers groups including the Barrington Writers Workshop and Off Campus Writers Workshop in Chicago and the Brussels Writers Circle. After having lived two years in Brussels, T.D. returned to the US in early 2016. He and his spouse make their home in the Chicago area along with their golden retriever plus a cat who adopted the family in Brussels.
