Melissa Burke

Melissa Burke (22) was raised in Mansfield, Massachusetts where she still resides with her parents, sister and grandmother, as well as her pets (a dog, two hamsters, and 6 chickens). She is a shift captain at her local animal shelter and a volunteer at a local animal sanctuary. She is a fan of many TV shows (Merlin, SPN, Sherlock, TVD, The Originals, The Night Shift, etc.) and enjoys reading, writing and knitting.

"Poetry and Short Stories by a Bipolar Girl" was her first book, published in 2012. She then published another book in 2013, "It's Just One Of Those Days" and in 2014, "The Darkness and the Light" was published. She recently got another book published in January of 2015, called "46".

Since a young age Melissa dreamed of becoming a published author and many years later that dream finally came true. Because of this she says to never give up on your dreams-though they may take years to achieve, dreams are never impossible and you never know what you will accomplish if you keep trying.
