D.A. Miller

From the author: I grew up in Aberdeen, South Dakota with my three brothers. I am married to a wonderful woman, have two sons, three step-daughters, a fat cat and a yippy dog.

My first book took me an entire year to write. But at that time, I only had one goal in mind: to see if I COULD write a book. When I finished it, I read through it a couple of times and realized something: it was pretty good. So, I kept writing. After I finished the second book, I realized something else: this is what I want to do--write stories. I want to contribute to the science fiction community (and get these crazy stories out of my head). I know I'll never compete with authors like H.G. Wells or Isaac Asimov...but I'm hoping a few of you sci-fi fans will dig my work.

Inspirations: Gene Roddenberry, George (Han shot first) Lucas, Dean Koontz (LOVE your work!), Stephen King (first book I read was The Stand--and thank you for Dark Tower Series!), Anne McCaffrey, R.A. Salvatore (everyone loves Drizzt!) and finally, the team of Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman...there are many, many others I could list, but space is limited. To all my inspirations: THANK YOU! Thank you for your contributions to the big screen and the written word. Most of all, thank you for providing me with foreign lands, interesting characters and the deepest reaches of space that (when I had time) I could visit.
