At every opportunity I try to travel out of the USA. My favorite destinations include Oman, Iran, Ethiopia, Australia, Montenegro, Paraguay, South Korea and Nicaragua. Otherwise I hate leaving the house. I like sushi, the Rainbow Bar and Grill, rock 'n' roll memorabilia, swimming, violent movies, "Seinfeld" reruns and "Modern Family."

I was fired from Reuters in the summer of 2011, after skating on thin ice for a few years in a messy tango with new management. I am now taking it easy, a bit bored, but trying to get started on a memoir with a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.

I love buying books, the reading bit not so much.
