Growing up I was always surrounded by rough characters. My first dog was killed in a stash house in Mexico. When I was nine I was kidnapped by a notorious biker gang and later on, my dad and his friends would be featured on Sixty Minutes for their illegal activities.

Fast foward forty years and I have become a working writer that loves to write. I have written several books and screenplays. All of my outlines and first drafts begin with pen or pencil in hand. For me there's nothing like the act of physically writing. Over the years I've become a notebook aficionado. I use different notebooks for each project. The notebooks I use need to be sturdy and well made. They must be able to hold up for extended periods of time under heavy daily use. I also like notebooks with bright and colorful covers that inspire me. I want to see an image or pattern that sparks the creativity inside me and translates to the project. I hate repeats. When I begin a project, I am expected to deliver a fresh new take on the task at hand. For me, I need a new notebook, with a new design, which inspires me for that particular project. I got tired of searching for that perfect notebook. So I just started creating them, with unique and bright inspirational covers with plenty of space inside for me to flush out ideas and outlines. I am many things, but in the notebook world, I am the self-proclaimed NOTEBOOK KING! Warning! Spite Journals when used in tandem with Revenge Journals are Strictly Prohibited, as well as Insult Journals, Bad Word Journals or any type of Journal that Documents Depravity. Please use notebooks responsibly. Thank You. NK

By the way I was a third-generation foster kid from the Los Angeles area. I’ve lived in foster homes, boys’ homes, group homes and at one time, a lava shoot on a beach. I emancipated at sixteen and went on to work my way around the globe, traveling as far east as England and as far west as Hawaii.

I am currently taking classes at Cambridge University via the internet. I am also ghost writing a historical piece and writing a romantic comedy.
