Ian Lamont

Greetings, German-speaking readers! Thanks for your interest in my work. I've been writing about technology since the 1990s, and in the 2000s was an editor for several well-known IT and Internet publications including Computerworld and The Industry Standard. More recently, I have written a series of short guides that will help you get the most out of Dropbox, Google Docs, and other software applications.

Some little-known facts about me:

- I can speak Mandarin, thanks to a years-long residency in Taiwan.

- In the early 1990s, I lived in London and worked for an unusual pop music act called The KLF.

- As a youth, I read a lot of science fiction. Some day, I hope to contribute to the genre by writing a full-length sci-fi novel.
