Story telling for me began when I was a child with pajamas that covered everything including my feet. I sat in the living room on an ottoman with my legs crossed under me just before bedtime and told stories to my mom and dad. They were short stories that always ended with a loud "The End".
My work with the written word began the first year of college in Dr. Cooper's creative writing class. Rather than following my heart and continue developing my skill I went to work as a pilot and did not return to the warmth of plot, dialogue or narrative until 1999.
My mentor and I met in 2005, six years and one novel into a rekindled passion for story telling. He began to guide the development of my skills and redirected my efforts toward new and exciting projects. "True Love" has been one of the redirections I am most proud of.
I hope you enjoy reading "True Love" and thank you for taking the time to explore True Love's listing on Barns & Noble. Please come back once you have experienced my favorite creation and leave your impressions.
Creating warm memories for my readers,
Destin
