Javier Arpa is an architect and holds a Master of Science in Architecture from the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), The Netherlands. He worked for a number of architecture firms in Argentina, The Netherlands, Spain and France, and led several urban planning projects in China. He forms part of a+t research group, together with the journalist Aurora Fernández Per and the architect Javier Mozas. They are responsible for wide research on collective housing, density, mixed uses and public space included in a+t publications.
Arpa, Fernández Per and Mozas are the authors of the Density series books -Dbook, Density Condensed, Density Projects, HoCo, Next and Density is Home-, which became a reference for publications about collective housing worldwide.
They have lectured at numerous Universities, Institutions and International Workshops, like the Graz University of Technology’s Dense Cities symposium and the Master´s Degree in Collective Housing of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura in Madrid.
