David Picard

David Picard is an anthropologist and now a winemaker at Adega Belém Urban Winery (www.adegabelem.com) in Lisbon Portugal. He held previous appointments at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland, Universidade Nova in Lisbon and Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK.His research interests include tourism and travel culture, hospitality, nature conservation, and obviously winemaking. He has led research projects in the Indian Ocean, Australia, Portugal and South America/Antarctica.
