As senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) for the McGraw-Hill Companies, Alcatel-Lucent and AT&T Universal Card services, Al reported to the COO or CEO of these enterprises and was responsible for the planning, building and running of enterprise IT services. He was also CIO for Los Angeles County.
