Sandra Murphy

Sandra Murphy was born and grew up in South London in the United Kingdom. She later moved to the countryside where she lives with her husband, grown-up children, beautiful Labrador and mischievous Pug. She has a penchant for Folklore and anything mystical and magical, and having spent many years as a qualified Teaching Assistant in a local school, she decided it was now or never to write a young to adult fiction book that could be enjoyed by all who love a fairytale-adventure.

In 2008 her non-fiction title 'A Headbanger's Ball - Real Family Life with a Disabled Child' was published. It is the story of how her family lived, loved and coped with Amberlie who was born with a rare condition called Lissencephaly.

Sandra also uses her magical inspiration to paint in oils and acrylics.
