Judy Millar is a Canadian writer of humorous and serious stories and essays. She has won numerous awards for her writing,including the John Kenneth Galbraith Literary Award (2009) and the Kerry Schooley Memorial Award (2011). She was a finalist in the 2011 and 2009 Writers' Union of Canada Short Prose Competitions. She has been published in magazines, literary journals, periodicals and anthologies.
A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University and former corporate communications manager in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, Judy and her husband, Randy (a.k.a. Kayak Guy) moved to Vancouver Island in 2007. She has studied short fiction-writing and novel-writing at Vancouver Island University, and is in demand as a spoken word performer of her original material (YouTube channel: JudyMillar).
