Laid in is the publisher's printed sheet of quotes in praise of author Wilbert Snow. Very good copy, with a few faint finger-soil marks on the cover and light crease to ffep.

His poetry became popular after meeting fellow poet Robert Frost, with whom he became close friends. This particular anthology, writing of his native state of Maine, and its people and places, is an example of his autobiographical poetry.
