Mark Stein

Mark Stein is a German critic, writer and academic. He runs the National and Transnational Studies program - http://www.wwu.de/MA_transnational - at Universität Münster where he's the Chair of English Studies. Born in Cologne, Mark Stein grew up in Cologne and Los Angeles and has lived and worked in Frankfurt, London, Saarbrücken, Berlin, Lisbon, Kingston (JA), Port of Spain (TT). Stein studied English Studies, American Studies and Political Sciences in Frankfurt, Oxford, and Warwick, holds an M.A. from Warwick and a PhD from Goethe University, Frankfurt/M.

Recently, Mark U. Stein published the first Cambridge History of Black and Asian British Writing with Susheila Nasta (CUP 2020).
