It is signed by the author (who is also the illustrator) on the presentation page. The book is fully covered in a deluxe binding. The cover has general handling and shelving wear to the covers and spine. The back cover has a small open wound at the bottom edge. The stamped gold title printing on the front cover and the spine is worn but still clearly legible. The front and end papers have wear and foxing. The condition of the pages throughout are very good. They are bright, clear, confident and clean. The illustrations are thrillingly bright, colourful and detailed. Although the paper trim edges have foxing this does not transfer to the pages themselves. The book is a delight and may be referenced and used with elan. fk. This is De Luxe Limited edition number 11 of 100 copies made and the limitation page has been signed by the author, Janet M. Gibson in blue ink. It is bound in full leather, with bright gold gilt and raised bands to the spine. The dust jacket is very worn and rubbed. It has a large, long chip out of the top edge and is creased and torn along the edges. Despite this, it remains surprisingly bright, intact and legible. Internally, there are no markings or inscriptions aside from that of the author, and the pages within are crisp, clean and complete. Tightly bound and presents beautifully in cellophane. JK.
