Jones. The 6 by 9 inch hardcover book is 340 pages and in good condition. The tan cloth boards are clean and have sharp corners and ther…e are no markings to the interior pages. However, it is from the Smithsonian library with call number tag to the spine and barcode to the back cover with associated stamping on the front free end page, dated 1976. The dust jacket is tucked inside but is badly torn and creased. This is Daniel Boorstin's copy, with bookplate present inside. Daniel J. Boorstin was the twelfth librarian of congress from 1975 until 1987, appointed under President Ford. He was also an accomplished author of more than 20 books, contributing much to the fields of sociology and history. He was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 1973, for his book, "The Americans: The Democratic Experience.".
