Regina Clarke

Regina Clarke follows her passions for reading mysteries and fantasy, watching film noir and 1950s science fiction B-grade (even C-grade) movies, learning (slowly) to play the Celtic harp, and feeling reverence for nature and all wildlife. She calls the Hudson River Valley home, and it pleases her no end to live not very far from where Rod Serling grew up and Jane Roberts encountered Seth.

In October 2016 her YA fantasy novel MARI was a finalist in the ListenUp Audiobooks competition. Her short stories have appeared in Thrice Fiction, Kzine, Bewildering Stories, Mad Scientist Journal, NewMyths, Aurora Wolf, and T. Gene Davis’s Speculative Blog, among others. In January 2017, her short story “Calliope” was featured on The Strange Recital podcast in Woodstock, NY. In the spring of 2012 she was a finalist in the Hollywood SCRIPTOID Screenwriter’s Feature Challenge for her script “Second Chances.”

The books:

In MARI a young girl searches for her mother in a fantasy world that brings her knowledge of herself and a way out of darkness...A homicide detective in THE MAGIC HOUR faces mental collapse that sends him into a backwater town and a parallel dimension at the same time, and each one teaches him about love...

In VOICES FROM THE OLD EARTH a city becomes a touchstone across time and dimensions...In RETRIEVAL a woman who manages a cafe in the desert encounters an alien presence that is both dangerous and familiar. The university town in GENE POOL becomes the target of a pact between the government and an unknown entity, while four friends race to unravel the doomsday scenario.

In WINTER'S EDGE an archaeological dig brings mystery and suspense...In THE GATEKEEPERS OF GENTHOR, a brother and sister must fight an unseen enemy in a virtual world to save those they love...STOPOVER AND OTHER STORIES FOR A RAINY NIGHT is a collection of short mystery stories. In THE DAGUERREOTYPE a modern professor is transported into the world of the 1840s.

My other books explore more alternate worlds, both in fantasy and science fiction, and all the books seek to explore matters of the heart. I hope indeed you enjoy them.
