Brian Wildsmith

Brian Wildsmith, (1930 - 2016) English author and illustrator of picture books, concept books, board books, wordless books, as well as an illustrator of fiction, poetry and re-tellings for children, is considered by many critics to be one of the most accomplished artists in the field of juvenile literature. Wildsmith whose art ranges from vibrant, expressionistic paintings to more delicate and modulated works, has been praised as an exceptionally talented and imaginative artist, one whose works entertain the young while introducing them to the qualities of fine art.
