Anthony D Riddle

Anthony Riddle is a father, veteran, and children’s book author whose stories are inspired by the moments that matter most—family, love, and the lessons we learn from one another.

His debut children’s book, "Polka Dots & Promises," is a true story woven from two real chapters of his life. The first began on the morning rides to daycare with his daughter Madison, now 15, where young Anthony watched her navigate the teasing that came with wearing his beloved polka dot socks—a small act of individuality that left a lasting impression.

The second unfolded during his deployment overseas in combat, when his daughter Taylor was just a baby at home. Taylor is now 23. The distance, the longing, and the promises made across that separation became the emotional heartbeat of the story. Together, these two experiences shaped a book that encourages children to embrace what makes them unique, face challenges with confidence, and understand the power of keeping promises.

When he’s not spending time with his family, Anthony enjoys playing golf and is a proud member of the Veterans Golf Association. He loves vacationing along the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan, creating memories with his family, yearly trips with close Marine Corps friends, and finding peace in life’s simple pleasures—even mowing the lawn on a sunny afternoon.

Through Polka Dot Press, Anthony hopes to create meaningful stories that spark conversations, inspire kindness, and remind children that the things that make them different are often the things that make them special.
