I used to write the flowery stuff - the advertising words to create demand and sell products fast. After almost three decades in the ad business, I sat down to write my life story and it took a life of its own. It's a memoir told as a story, as if I remembered exact dialogue.

The saga begins with my first lukewarm beer at age 13, in the fall of 1972, and ends with jumping the last hurdle to grace and serenity - after 18 years sobriety. It's a story so twisted that it took seven books to reveal it all.

I live in East Tennessee with a panoramic view of the Great Smoky Mountains, surrounded by cozy and calm in my little condo. If I’m not writing, you’ll find me tinkering or playing tug-of-war with my distinguished editor, Stormin’ Norman the Schnauzer.

Combining creativity with my OCD, I also have a side biz called Kid’s Art in Stitches – I embroider children’s stick-drawings in crazy-bright colors. Stitch by stitch, the result is happy.
