MATTHEW K. ISAAC

After completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Kerala University and Master of Arts degree from Christ Church College, Kanpur, India, Dr. Matthew Isaac moved to the United States for advanced studies. He earned his Ph.D. and two additional master’s degrees in English Language and Literature and ESL from the University of Toledo (UT) in Toledo, Ohio.

He began his professional career at UT as a faculty member teaching writing and humanities. Shortly after, he was promoted to the director and divisional director positions at the University of Toledo. Later, he moved to California and held executive leadership jobs and retired as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Economic Development and Corporate Training from the San Bernardino Community College District in San Bernardino, California. During his tenure, he was instrumental in receiving over $25 million in grants from the state and federal agencies. Dr. Isaac won several distinguished awards during his academic career, including the prestigious state-wide awards for excellence in leadership from both Ohio and California.

Dr. Isaac lives in Southern California with his wife, Bina, and has two adult children, Sonya and Shawn.
