Daniel Roesch

Daniel Rösch is a Professor of Business and holds the chair in Statistics and Risk Management at the

University of Regensburg (Germany). Prior to joining the University of Regensburg he was Professor of

Finance and Director of the Institute of Banking of Finance at Leibniz University of Hannover. Daniel

was visiting researcher at The University of Melbourne and has been a frequent visiting professor at

the University of Technology in Sydney.

His research interests cover Quantitative Financial Risk Management, Credit Risk, Machine Learn-

ing and AI, and Statistical Methods and Models. He has published numerous papers in leading inter-

national journals, earned several awards and honors, and is a passionate lecturer in his domain.

Daniel has cooperated with financial institutions and supervisory bodies in joint research projects.

Recently the German Handelsblatt ranked him among the top German researchers in Business.
