Soft cover. Zustand: New. When our army was winning, what was the need for a ceasefire? What was the need to halt the attack? Had it not been done at that time, the whole of Kashmir would have been an integral part of India today. Pakistan-occupied Kashmir would not have come into existence. Regrettably, it was never brought int…o the discussion as to why an untimely ceasefire was declared? What was the compulsion? In no history has it been written that the war-winning army declares a ceasefire at a time when a large part of its territory is occupied by foreign forces! Then the United Nations was approached on 1st January, 1948. This decision was also a personal decision of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. It was a big mistake; the country bore the brunt of it for years. Amit Shah Union Home Minister We saw that the Leftist, elite society, the power system, the media had already established their narrative over the last several decades. These widely propagated narratives were the so-called truth. It was about our society, nationality, Ramjanmabhoomi, the inalienability and inevitability of Article 370 in Kashmir, social harmony, the role model of the country, the Western model of development, the imperative of English, etc. These were in relation to the beliefs and faith in so-called values which developed an inferiority complex about our history and past at the cost of our history and glorious knowledge tradition. Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Becoming a middle-income economy is an explicit development goal of many countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. This book assesses the implications of that goal for secondary education in Ethiopia. It shows that a rapid expansion of secondary education will be needed to support the country's transi…tion from a low-income economy with substantial subsistence agriculture to a lower-middle-income economy with an increased share of commercial agriculture, as well as growing industrial and service sectors. As Ethiopia moves towards this goal, the demand for a labour force with skills beyond basic literacy and numeracy will increase, which in turn will fuel demand for secondary education. The implications of this demand are significant, as the profile of entrants into secondary education will change from students aspiring to higher education to students with a much more diverse range of aspirations and abilities. At present, the existing secondary curriculum is primarily designed to prepare students for university studies; if it is retained, it will not only fail students, it may also fail the country's aspirations for middle-income status. A flexible curriculum that serves the needs of all students and helps them develop the higher-level skills demanded by employers is critically important. The massive expansion of secondary education needed in Ethiopia will require significant additional resources. The book argues that financing reforms aimed at using existing resources more efficiently and mobilising more nongovernment resources will be indispensible. Specifically, it advocates launching financing reforms within a broad framework that, among other components, includes governance reforms that implement school-based management, changes in teacher preparation and development, and improved student examinations. Finally, the report emphasises that the success of secondary reforms will to a large extent depend on the achievements of primary education, particularly in light of low primary learning outcomes and the unfinished agenda of universal primary education. This may be the first book to specifically address how secondary education should be reformed in order to help countries transition from low- to middle-income economies and is intended to help initiate deliberations on this important topic. The primary audience for the book is comprised of policy makers, academicians, development practitioners, the education bureaucracy, and teachers.

Zustand: Sehr gut | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | Introduction "Electromagnetic Pollution May be the Most Significant Form of Pollution Human Activity Has Produced This Century, AH the More Dangerous Because It Is Invisible And Insensible." Andrew Weil, MD Physician Every day, we're swimming in a se…a of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) produced by electrical appliances, power lines, wiring in buildings, and a few of other technologies that are part of modern life. From the dishwasher and microwave oven in the kitchen, to the cellular phone we hold to our ear - sometimes for hours each day - causes exposure to RF EMR (Radio-Frequency Electromagnetic Radiation), is growing and becoming a serious health threat or we can say a slow poison which is increasing but not seen. Cellular phone is one of the ingredients which are making the poisons more fatal. The wide spread use of mobile cellular phones have increased over the past decade in all over the World. It's no longer viewed as a luxury service, but recognized as an important infrastructure service that should be available, to all at affordable prices. They are now an essential part of business, commerce and society. Many studies have established the direct multiplier effect of increase in teledensity on economic growth. It is well understood from various international studies that there exists a causative relationship between increase in telecommunication penetration and GDP growth. In India use of mobile phones has also increased rapidly for last few years. The growth rate of wireless services in past year (November 09 to November 10] has reached to 44.2%.
