Michael Beloved

I took my current body in 1951 in Guyana. In 1965, while living in Trinidad, I instinctively began doing yoga postures and trying to make sense of the supernatural side of life. Later on, in 1970, in the Philippines, I approached a Martial Arts Master named Mr. Arthur Beverford, explaining to the teacher that I wanted a yoga instructor. He taught me the traditional Astanga Yoga with stress on postures, attentive breathing and brow chakra centering meditation. In 1972, I entered the Denver Colorado Ashram of Kundalini Yoga and took instruction in Bhastrika Pranayama and its application to yoga postures. Later in 1979, I formally entered a formal spiritual society founded by Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada.

I no longer participate in any formal spiritual groups or societies; however in recent years, I've devoted all my time to writing as much as possible on multiple interpretations of the Bhagavad-gita including a focus on kriya yoga, karma yoga, and brahma yoga. I've also translated the Uddhava Gita and provided a detailed commentary of the masterpiece. Most of my work is deeply philosophical and psychological in nature and is a reflection of a lifetime of dedication and austerity towards passing on the knowledge of those who have come before me.
