Finalist for the National Book Award. Rooney received a Guggenheim fellowship in 1956 for fiction, and his prize winning short story "The Cyclist's Raid" was the basis for the classic 1953 film "The Wild One" starring Marlon Brando. 507 pp. Very good in very good dust jacket (some discoloration to the corners of the dj and the endpapers from an old style protector - but overall a clean, tight and straight copy.).
