This title speaks not only to the popularity of Denslow, but to the wider cultural milieu of the early 20th century. On show here is the period's appetite for magic (due in no small part to the prominence of Houdini), which also permeated children's toys and literature. A Teddy Roosevelt doppelganger makes an appearance as the hunter in "Bye Baby Bunting"; the Three Blind Mice model signs that mimic those soliciting for blind charities.
