Daniel Ford

Daniel Ford began his writing career in Frankfurt Main as a reporter for The Overseas Weekly but now lives and works in New Hampshire USA. He is the author of a dozen fiction and non-fiction books. An assignment in South Vietnam led to the black-humor novel Incident at Muc Wa, later filmed as Go Tell the Spartans with Burt Lancaster in the starring role. Ford later wrote the definitive history of the Flying Tigers, the American mercenaries who flew for China in the opening years of the Pacific War, 1941-1942. More recently he wrote A Vision So Noble, an outgrowth of a thesis written for King's College London. His latest project is Poland's Daughter, the story of six-year-old deported to Siberia in 1940, and who made her way through Persia, Lebanon, and Egypt, before reaching England eight years after her odyssey began. Ford is a skier, opera buff, and light-plane pilot in his spare time.
