Since 1972 and the release of 'Deep Throat', the business of making commercial hardcore feature films has grown dramatically. Yet for the most part the industry remains a mysterious commodity, with the people behind it still seen as unscrupulous, vaguely threatening figures. Much has been written about the porn film industry, by both opponents and producers alike. 'The X Factory' is the most comprehensive book available examining the adult film industry from the perspective of director, technician and actors. Illustrated with b/w photographs.
