This is the first-hand account of loving and living with Alzheimer’s. It shares the shock, disbelief, anger, pain, joy, humor, grief and finally letting go. It is the story of trusting in God and living in the moment while being grateful for every day. Bob and Fran found much joy and peace while watching the robins in their backyard. Yes it is the story of a terrible disease striking too many families; but more than that it is a love story.“Bob and Fran’s story will touch your heart, it will make you cry and make you laugh but even more it will give you hope.” Dr. Scott Black-Johnston, Fifth Avenue Presbyterian, New York, NY, USA"This book is a must read for all who seek to find guidance, compassion, and comfort in the face of Alzheimer’s. Fran’s writing is real, raw, honest and inspiring, and seeks to bring dignity to those who fight this horrible disease, as well as wisdom and hope to those who walk with them." The Rev. Holly Hoppe, Co-Pastor, Grace Presbyterian Church, Pflugerville, Texas"As someone whose wife has Alzheimer’s, I am profoundly grateful for Fran’s compelling account of Bob’s life, including their last years together struggling with an insidious disease. In her rendering, the human traits of delight and despair are on full display." J. Andrew Dearman, Professor of Old Testament Fuller Theological Seminary
