Willow is a little black cat with a big imagination. She has amazing superpowers – or so she thinks – that can make her invisible, fly around the Earth faster than Superman, combat an evil monster from the underworld, fight in an intergalactic war, travel to another dimension where she can control her human…this is the beginning of Willow's adventures, a little black cat, who likes to dream big.
A portion of the book sales will go to non-profit rescue organizations dedicated to save the lives of black cats and kittens. Willow, the inspiration behind the book, "Willow's Tale, a Little Black Cat goes a long way", was found stuck as a feral kitten in a garage. She is the spokescat for black cats as they are the last to get adopted from rescue shelters due to superstition – some think that they do not photograph well, but Willow is on a mission to change the public image of black cats. She wants to share her happy tales with the world, so she can help other black cats and rescue cats get adopted.
Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Linda Malik is a Danish-American writer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She's the author of "Willow's Tale," a children's picture book series about a little black cat with a big imagination embarking on grand adventures. Inspired by her own rescue cat, Malik collaborated with Brainstorm Productions, a studio employing neurodiverse artists, who illustrated two of her books in the series and produced an award-winning animated short based on the feline character. Through her creative vision, Willow is taking over the world one charming tale at a time.
