Two brothers. One sheepherder. A whole lot of mountain.

Ten-year-old Thad Taggart would rather read than fight, and his tough older brother Joe Buck is tired of rescuing him. When their father, furious that his sons are turning into "mama's boys," ships them off to a remote mountain sheep camp with a gruff, ungrammatical sheepherder named Rufe Rawlins, the brothers find out fast that the high country doesn't care how delicate anybody is.

Coyotes in the night. A rattlesnake among the rocks. A mountain lion in the trees. A runaway ram, a flash of temper, and a legendary grizzly the old-timers call Old Ephraim. Far from home and running low on options, Thad and Joe Buck will have to work out what the Taggart tradition of courage really means.

Wild On The Mountain is a warm-hearted family adventure comedy set in the early twentieth-century West, a story of brothers, second chances and an unlikely mentor who teaches two boys more than they ever expected to learn.
