The Wicked Witch of the North, inspired by family reading and story time, is a heartwarming illustrated chapter book of modern-day fables filled with fantasy, magic, and holiday childhood characters. It's an adventurous book of literature about a little boy and his courageous acts against an evil witch causing havoc in his town. Author David Hall has written a children's book with a child's reading in mind. Dolch sight words are strategically repeated throughout the book, along with higher leveled vocabulary words for advanced readers and adults. The Wicked Witch of the North is a legacy for Mr. Hall as he told them to his children when they were young, and due to his love for storytelling, he has made them available for generations to come.

David Michael Hall was born in Alabama and attended Catholic Orphanages until about 12 years of age when, through the grace of God, he came to live on a farm - which he owns-located near LaFayette, Alabama. He had a successful career, retiring as Professor Emeritus after nearly 33 years of service at Auburn University. He also retired from the US Army after a career as a Reserve officer (with the rank of Colonel) with the US Army's Research and Development Command. The ideas and inspiration for The Wicked Witch of the North resulted from stories told to his four children on the way home to the farm from their travels to prevent backseat bickering.
