What are the Norwall Pirates? In a small Iowa farm town called Norwall , they are a group of kids who come together to support each other through good times and bad times and the struggle to grow into who you are going to be. But they are put to the test when the sea captain, formerly the captain of the doomed Reefer Mary Celeste, returns to his home town trailing evil south-seas island voodoo in his wake. How will Valerie Clarke, an eleven-year-old girl make a safe place for herself as a member of the adventure-having and lie-telling club of mostly boy Pirates? And who will save her from the living Tiki idols and the evil witch-doctor?
