Udayakumar Gopalakrishnan is a Management Consultant, Facilitator and Leadership Coach, based at Chennai, India. He is affectionately known as Uday, amongst corporate clientele, learning community and friends.
Uday is a graduate in commerce from Loyola College and post graduate honors holder in HR, from XLRI. Having worked for eleven years in senior HR roles at Murugappa and Rane groups, he chose to pursue his life calling and launched CORE MIND in 1993. During the last two plus decades, he has passionately partnered around 600 corporate clients across India and overseas. He has influenced and transformed close to 27,000 corporate professionals.
In alignment with the deep passion to learn and contribute to the corporate world, he has attended more than twenty-five training programs worldwide, in the arenas of Leadership, OD, Mentoring and Coaching, with Tavistock Institute of HR [UK], NTL Institute, Franklin Covey, Center for Creative Leadership [CCL], Perrone Ambrose Associates, Giant Impact and University of Michigan, all at USA. He completed the prestigious OD Certification track in 2002 with NTL and has co-facilitated couple of programs for them at USA, having been their institution member since 2005.
Uday was conferred Professional Certified Coach [PCC] status by International Coach Federation [ICF - USA], after securing graduation as Certified Professional Coach [CPC], from International Coach Academy [ICA - Australia]. Currently, he is pursuing the next level of coaching certification to become a Master Certified Coach [MCC].
He is an avid follower of cricket, tennis and a few other sports and likes connecting games, with metaphors to the management world. He loves listening to melodious songs from good old movies and reads as much as he can grab and consume!
