Western Europe: Geographical Perspectives: Second Edtion

This selection of themes concentrates on the economic and social challenges of the 1980s, aiming to provide an understanding of the human geography of Western Europe. Rather than emphasizing the uniqueness of each of the 18 states of Western Europe, it attempts to draw out common characteristics and shared problems while always recognizing spatial variations in their expression. The essays have been written in a selective, generalized way and at an introductory level, with a British undergraduate audience in mind. This edition contains a new chapter on the important service sector.
