Two small‑time Providence enforcers never meant to start a war. But when they stumble onto a secret their bosses would kill to protect — a kidnapped two‑year‑old girl with impossible healing powers — they make the choice to try to protect the little girl. Doing so detonates the entire Rhode Island underworld. Now they’re on the run, hunted by the very organization they once served.
The mob doesn’t forgive betrayal. It annihilates it. And to make sure the job is done right, they unleash The Hammer — a mythic assassin whispered about in back rooms and police files, a killer whose name alone ends negotiations. As the fugitives race from city to city, they try to overcome their own haunted pasts, but they realize survival isn’t enough. They thought going to war with the Rhode Island Mob over the two-year-old girl would set them free. How wrong they were.
Decency has a price, and The Hammer always collects.
