In Weaving Myself Awake, Gail Warner takes us through an intimate inquiry into what is sacred. This book of poems is a late-in-life weaving of heartfelt awareness and an inquiry into the Divine Feminine that was previously hidden. Accompanied by blended images that speak to the story or theme of a given poem, the book is divided into the following sections, all arenas of life that beckoned Warner’s curiosity and deeper inquiry: longing, birth, grief, grace, seeing, wonder, sanctuary, beauty, empowerment, collaboration, mystery, and joy.
As therapist and heart healer, Gail knows we each hold a capacity to wake up to beauty and wonder, and to love in the midst of challenges, grief, and pain. Her poems are deep dives to the heart of what matters, covering topics both sacred and challenging. Each poem is an invitation to the reader to consider what needs tending in their own lives, and opens us up to the power of inquiry and curiosity, especially as we enter the later seasons of our lives.
Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Gail Warner is a poet, decades-long group facilitator, and body-centered psychotherapist who runs a small retreat center called Pine Manor, a gathering place and creative canvas for therapists, body workers, artists, energy healers, musicians, spiritual teachers, poets, and writers. Over her more than forty years as a psychotherapist, she has accompanied others through the inner journey of unfolding inquiry, grief, discovery, and transformation. She has offered countless retreats that provide time to step outside the demands of life and focus on what really matters through self-reflection and creative processes that include Sand Tray and SoulCollage®. Mother, grandmother, and earth mother, Warner guides others into deeper connections with their soul and the soul of the natural world while endlessly and humbly walking the same journey herself.
