Dieser Artikel ist ein Print on Demand Artikel und wird nach Ihrer Bestellung fuer Sie gedruckt. David Miller s work is unclassifiable: he is a poet and a prose-writer, but his prose here is poetic. Some of the work is prose-poetry some is narrative in nature and might instead be classified as experimental fiction.Über den Autor. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 595138071
'The Waters of Marah', subtitled Selected Prose 1973-1995, brings together the best of the author's non-poetic output. The prose here however mostly includes work that the author classifies as prose-poetry, as well as the longer work 'Tesserae' which could be better described as experimental (and poetic) fiction. These pieces tend also to have verse interludes, which further confuses the definition of which category they actually belong to. In the end however, categories are irrelevant, and the work can be read on its own terms, be it prose, be it prose-poetry, be it fiction, be it unclassifiable. This is musical work that explores the parameters of the sayable in a manner that does not repel the reader but rather draws him/her in as a participant in a remarkable enterprise. Contemporary poetry enthusiasts and lovers of cutting-edge prose will all find this work answering to their requirements.
Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: DAVID MILLER grew up in New York in the early '70s watching Dark Shadows during the day, the Night Stalker at night, and the weekly Creature Feature movie on an old black & white RCA television set every Saturday night with his father. It's no wonder as an adult he now writes stories with fantastical creatures, mystical happenings and occult goings-on, of worlds where anything can happen...and usually does.
