This hi-lo horror series for struggling and reluctant readers has been written for children aged 12+, whose current reading age is between 6 and 7 years. These age-appropriate short reads have 32 pages and are written by talented author - Tim Collins. They incorporate a large font size and text separated into bite-sized chunks, along with carefully considered letter and paragraph spacing that can reduce visual stress. The series has plenty of practice at one level, allowing consolidation of learning before moving on to more challenging reads. The vocabulary list of tricky words can aid comprehension before reading the book.

�ber die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Tim Collins is originally from Manchester and now lives near London. He is the author of over 70 books spanning fiction and non-fiction that have been translated into over 40 languages. His fiction series include Wimpy Vampire, Cosmic Colin, Monstrous Maud and Dorkius Maximus. He has won the Lincolnshire Young People's Book Award, Manchester Fiction City and The Kalbacher Klapperschlange. Tim has written over 25 reluctant reader titles for Badger Learning, ranging from individual titles within a series to full series. His most recent titles for Badger Learning include Waxwork from the second series of Papercuts and Alone from the second series of Between the Lines. He has also written the full series of Monster Island - six captivating titles filled with mythical beasts, treacherous terrain and a castaway captain who may have eaten one too many coconuts! - and, more recently, the full series of terrifying Horror Hotel titles.
