Morrigan McBride loves her life as a high-performing sales rep in St. Louis, a forty-something divorcee, and cat mom.

She’s about to have her life turned upside down.

When her beloved Aunt Meg dies unexpectedly, she’s forced to put her life on hold for a month to settle Aunt Meg’s affairs.

Meaning to close down Aunt Meg’s small-town stationery shop and sell her home, Morrigan soon finds herself enmeshed in figuring out how Aunt Meg really died while coming to terms with the fact that she has also inherited her aunt’s banshee powers.

Fortunately for Morrigan, her new friend Vera’s bookstore has lots of supernatural reference books, and her best friend Olivia’s coffee and tea shop has lots of sustenance. With a crew that includes Holly the flighty librarian, George the reliable IT guy, Nick the gay hardware store owner, and Dragon the talking cat, she’ll have lots of support along her journey.

Now she just has to find out who killed Aunt Meg and figure out how to harness her growing powers to prevent any more deaths.

Welcome to Harding, Indiana, where the coffee is warm, the ghosts are talkative, and the banshee always knows when death is near.
