Hardback, 10.5 x 8.5 inches. In full calf leather binding with raised banding and gilt decorations to spine, with maroon leather spine label lettered in gilt. Red speckled page edges. In very good condition. Later leather fine binding to spine. Some rubbing and handling marks to boards, rubbing and bumps/chips to corners. Some dark foxing to endpapers. Bookplate to front ?Lord Sandys.? Some minor foxing around main title page. Some occasional minor spots and handling marks to pages, one minor ink spot to corner of p94 and rear of adjacent map, else overall very clean and tight throughout. Plates and maps all very clean and bright. Else an excellent copy. 417pp. Illustrated with 42 copper-engraved plates, large doubled-page and other larger folding plates, including panoramic views, plans & charts etc.
